A Newbie's Guide to Forex Options Trading

A Newbie's Guide to Forex Options Trading
Forex Options Trading
Forex Options is a type of options trading for foreign exchange enthusiasts to make profits while keeping the risk factor down. Most people are not aware of forex options as there are a lot of constraints. It can be quite tricky but with the right skills, you can excel in your trading career. Here are a few things you should know before getting into Forex Options.

WHAT IS FOREX OPTIONS?

Forex options trading come with a contract that enables a trader to buy/sell a specific currency pair for a fixed value irrespective of the market value. The contract is valid only for a fixed period of time.

TYPES OF FOREX OPTIONS WHICH YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

1.TRADITIONAL CALL/PUT OPTIONS

The traditional type of forex options is similar to the stock options. It provides the buyer with the right to purchase an item from the seller at a specified price and time. Though the buyer purchases that particular item, he is not obliged to it. Also, the buyer needs to pay an amount when he buys an option which is called a premium. In forex options, currency pairs are used. Hence, you need to keep in mind that whenever you buy a call, you buy a put simultaneously. When you buy a call option and if the price goes down when the option expires, it becomes worthless and you lose the premium alone or else you gain the currency pair bought/sold and you can buy/sell it for a profit. It’s vice versa when you buy a put option.

THE TRADITIONAL OPTIONS IS FURTHER DIVIDED INTO TWO CATEGORIES:

  • American-style: You can use this type of option if you want to trade at any point until the time of expiration.
  • European-style: You can use this type of option if you want to trade only at the time of expiration.
The advantages of traditional options are that they have lower premiums and that they are more flexible when compared to SPOT options as you can trade at any time before expiration time also(in case of American-style). But these options are difficult to set and execute, unlike SPOT options.

2.SINGLE PAYMENT OPTIONS TRADING (SPOT)

The SPOT options work in a quite different way from that of the traditional method. Here, you will have to enter a scenario: for example, the price of a particular currency pair will rise to a specific price in a specific time. If the scenario you entered becomes correct, then you will be receiving a payout amount or else you will be losing the premium. This type of options provides a wide variety of scenarios so that you can input any kind of scenario that you think of.The advantage of SPOT options is that they are easier to trade but it has the main disadvantage of having higher premiums.

ADVANTAGES OF TRADING FOREX OPTIONS

1.LIMITED RISK

In case the market does not move as you expected, your risk is always limited to the premium. Hence you are free to try different combinations of trades and expect it either way.

2. ABILITY TO SET PRICE AND EXPIRATION DATE

The price and expiration date can be set in this type of options unlike in futures options. They can be set as per your prediction about the market movement.

3.LESS CAPITAL

You can predict the movements in the market without risking a lot of capital. So, the capital which is being saved can be invested in buying more options where you predict and have chances to win.

4.ELEVATED PROFIT POTENTIAL

In options, the risk is limited to the premium amount only. Hence, the scope of making the profit is higher if you can manage to predict the market correctly.

5. HEDGING IS POSSIBLE

There is always a possibility to hedge your open position order for limiting your risk in case the market turned away from, as you predicted.Although forex options come with a number of advantages, it is crucial to keep yourself updated to avoid mishaps. It takes dedication and endless hours of learning to have a successful trading career.

Hi guys, would be grateful for any insight about options and forex trading brokers present for French tax residents as such. Plan to start with an outlay of about 10k EUR and want to invest in US based stocks primarily.
Would also be grateful if you might know of any platforms that provide demo accounts for options trading here as well.

Free Forex Trading Signals Specifically for Binary Options

Providing Free Forex Trading Signals Specifically for Binary Option Traders
Hello Guys,
I have started providing free forex trading signals specifically for Binary Options Traders since today.
My hit rate is over 65%
These trades will be superbly profitable if the payout is over 100%. Some brokers do offer payouts over 100%
The next question that would come to anyone’s mind who reads this is, why are you giving free signals away if they are so profitable? Well, to be honest, I have a problem. The system I have made for giving me signals is superb, but I just cannot control myself and end up over trading. I over trade and end up blowing my account every single time. This system would be superb for someone who can control their emotions and not over trade. So today I have had enough, and I have decided to offer free trading signals.
So what’s in it for me? The idea is to offer free trading signals to build a large following and then I will move on to a limited number of signals for free and all the signals for paid users. That’s how I plan to make money.
Well, now you must be wondering that I have ranted enough so where’s the proof?
I am attaching the link to my twitter profile where I have posted 5 trades along with the entry and proof that they hit targets. Please note that the expiry of 4 minutes works out best for binary options on my trading signals.
Let me know what you guys think. If you truly feel it’s legit then please spread the word.
Thank YouTwitter Posts

We all know that someone who skipped college, but swears by options trading or forex or some other mlm/dubious method of financial investment. My question is, are any of those practices really used in places like Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, etc?

I'm 14 and I've been trading stocks, options, futures, and forex for almost 4 years. How do I land a finance internship and where do I look? Should I wait a little bit longer?

Ever since I was in 7th grade, I started to learn about trading because of video game trading. I remember trading many in-game items and selling them to 6th graders for cash. Every night, I would stay up in the video-game item auction websites ( scrap.tf ) because there would be fewer bidders and, therefore more opportunities to snag some good deals. I didn't even play video games at that point, and I only liked trading video-game items. One evening my mother said, "If you like trading so much, you should learn about the stock market.". From then on, I was hooked. So every day after school, I would spend hours watching videos to not understand it, researching it, writing notes, and continuing to expand my knowledge. After about 1.5 years, I was quite knowledgeable and parents that I had given presentations to were very impressed (This was a middle school project where you would present on something you're interested in). Some parents couldn't understand a word I was saying. Near the end of 8th grade, my father wanted to give money to trade with (>$1000) and during the summer I had almost doubled his money. During freshman high school, I would go to the library and open my laptop and just trade. I made about $60-$200 a day and some days I lose money. Although since I managed my risk, my reward outweighed my risk. Trading is just as much, if not more as a mental game than a numbers game. During my freshman year, my father wanted me to manage his retirement fund, and by then, I knew how to read financial statements and do fundamental analysis very well. We are currently 30% up with me joining in January 2020. Although it was sad to find out my father had lost quite a bit of money in his account statement, but now his account is finally positive. Because of this, my mother now encourages me to "monitor" my father which is hilarious considering my age. When I grow up, I want to be a financial analyst or start a prop shop (a type of trading firm), go into real estate (another story for later), and achieve financial freedom. For now, I want to apply for internships to gain some work experience in finance and I have some unanswered questions.
- P.S Sorry for any grammar issues I may have missed. English class was never my strong suit.
Questions:
  1. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting in college?
  2. How do I get some finance-related internship as a high schooler?
    1. Is this even possible?
    2. Should I wait a little bit longer?
    3. Where do I look?
  3. What route should I take? Trade school? Finance or accounting or both in college?

Brokerage w/ 4am-8pm trading + otc/futures/forex/options/etc

I know that brokerage questions get asked alot and I apologize if this has been answered before, but is TWS the only brokerage that offers this? TWS is way more robust of a platform than I need right now and their fees also seem pretty robust, so Id like to know if there are any other options before I switch.
A UI that doesn't look like it's straight out of the 90's would be a cool plus, but I think thats asking too much!
Thanks for any recommendations.

Which one best Forex or Options trading for a beginner?

I’m looking to start my trading journey, but I’m not sure which market I should invest my time and money on. I have seen people saying forex is better, because of the low commissions and low barrier to start forex. However, I’ve seen people being more profitable in stock trading, than in forex trading. Hence, why I’m very confused, in what market I should choose.
I hope you can give me a breakdown in why?
